As of: October 2026
Convenience translation. This English text is provided for information only. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version is the legally binding one: German version.
§ 1 Scope
These terms apply to all bookings of services at the BowTime archery venue and to the purchase of vouchers via the website.
Deviating terms of the customer only apply if we expressly agree to them in writing.
Customers within the meaning of these terms are consumers and businesses, as well as clubs, schools and other groups that book services for their members or participants.
§ 2 Contracting party
The contracting party is:
JOLOS Kinder-Welt-Berlin GmbH
Am Tempelhofer Berg 7d, 10965 Berlin, Germany
Managing director: Anke Bentler
Register court: Amtsgericht Charlottenburg, HRB 90665 B
VAT ID: DE230027960
Email: info@bowtime-berlin.de, phone: +49 151 29767526
BowTime is a business unit of JOLOS Kinder-Welt-Berlin GmbH and not an independent company.
§ 3 Services
BowTime offers in particular: archery cinema, courses and coaching sessions, group and company events, children’s birthday parties, club training and the rental of archery equipment.
The content, duration, number of participants and price of each service are as described on the website at the time of booking.
The booked time starts at the agreed time. If you arrive late, the time is not extended if subsequent bookings prevent this.
§ 4 Booking and conclusion of contract
All services are booked online via the website and paid for in advance. Archery courses are an exception: they are requested, the date is arranged individually, and payment is made on site. The contract for an archery course is concluded when the date is agreed.
The presentation of the services on the website is not yet a binding offer. By clicking the “zahlungspflichtig buchen” (book with obligation to pay) button, the customer makes a binding offer.
The contract is concluded as soon as the full amount has been received in the account of JOLOS Kinder-Welt-Berlin GmbH. The customer then receives a booking confirmation by email.
Payment is made directly as part of the online booking. Without completed payment, no booking is made.
Anyone booking for a group or club confirms that they are entitled to do so and ensures that all participants are aware of these terms and the safety rules.
§ 5 Prices and payment
The prices stated on the website at the time of booking apply. All prices include statutory VAT.
Payment is generally made online via the payment service provider Stripe using the payment methods offered there. PayPal is not offered. Cash payment on site is only possible in exceptional cases by prior arrangement.
Discount codes and club conditions only apply during the stated period, cannot be combined with each other and cannot be applied retrospectively to bookings that have already been paid for.
§ 6 No right of withdrawal for sessions
For bookings of leisure services on a specific date there is no statutory right of withdrawal pursuant to § 312g(2) no. 9 BGB. The cancellation rules in § 7 apply to these bookings.
When buying vouchers, consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days. Details are set out in the withdrawal information, which is available on the website and sent with the order confirmation.
§ 7 Cancellation
The customer can cancel a booking free of charge up to 72 hours before the start of the booked session. Cancellation is made via the cancellation link in the booking confirmation. The amount paid is refunded online via Stripe to the payment method originally used. How long the refund takes depends on Stripe’s terms.
In the event of a later cancellation or no-show, there is no entitlement to a refund. Jolos Kinder-Welt may, at its own discretion, offer a rebooking, a voucher or a partial refund.
The customer remains entitled to prove that the late cancellation caused us no damage or less damage, for example because the slot could be given to someone else.
If BowTime has to cancel a session, for example due to a technical fault, the coach’s illness or force majeure, the customer receives the full amount back or, on request, a replacement date.
§ 8 Vouchers
Vouchers can be purchased online and redeemed for all BowTime services.
Vouchers are valid for three years, calculated from the end of the year in which they were purchased.
Cash payment of the voucher or any remaining balance is excluded. Any remaining credit is retained until the voucher expires.
Vouchers are transferable. No replacement is provided for lost vouchers unless they can be clearly assigned.
§ 9 Bonus cards
Bonus cards can be purchased online and redeemed for 7 units of 55 minutes each in the ArcheryTime arena.
Bonus cards are valid for three years, calculated from the end of the year in which they were purchased.
Cash payment of the bonus card or any remaining balance is excluded.
Bonus cards are not transferable. No replacement is provided for lost bonus cards unless they can be clearly assigned.
§ 10 Safety rules and house rules
Archery is only permitted in compliance with BowTime’s safety rules. The safety rules form part of this contract and are displayed in the hall. Before shooting for the first time, all participants receive a safety briefing.
The instructions of staff must be followed at all times.
Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs or who breaches the safety rules may be excluded from shooting and asked to leave the hall. In this case there is no entitlement to a refund.
Jolos Kinder-Welt exercises the house rules.
§ 11 Own equipment
Your own bows and arrows may only be used after prior inspection and approval by staff.
The following conditions apply: bows with a draw weight of up to 60 lbs are permitted. Compound bows, crossbows and blowpipes are not permitted. Your own arrows must be cleaned thoroughly before use in the arena and must not have rusty or damaged tips. At least 5 arrows are required.
The customer is responsible for the condition and safety of their own equipment.
§ 12 Children and young people
The archery cinema and archery are possible from the age of 8.
Children under 8 are excluded from shooting, even when accompanied by adults. Children and young people up to and including 15 years of age may only take part when accompanied and supervised by an adult who is responsible for them.
Minors require the consent of a parent or guardian. For children’s birthday parties and groups, a declaration that the person booking has obtained these consents is sufficient.
§ 13 Liability
Jolos Kinder-Welt is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health.
In the event of a slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
For items brought along and cloakroom items, liability only applies in accordance with paragraphs 1 and 2.
The customer is liable for damage to rental equipment and furnishings caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Statutory liability for personal injury remains unaffected.
Archery involves risks. Participation is at your own responsibility. If a participant breaches the safety rules or instructions of staff, this is taken into account as contributory negligence in terms of liability (§ 254 BGB).
§ 14 Photo and video recordings, data protection
Information on the processing of personal data, including photo and video recordings at events, can be found in the privacy policy on the website.
§ 15 Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. For consumers, this choice of law only applies insofar as it does not deprive them of the mandatory protection provisions of the state in which they have their habitual residence.
If the customer is a merchant or a legal entity under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
